Sausage Crescent Rolls

Sausage Crescent Rolls are a quick and easy combination of savory sausage, creamy cheese, and flaky crescent roll dough. The sausage is mixed with cream cheese and shredded cheese, then wrapped in small pieces of crescent dough and baked until golden brown.

These little rolls are perfect for breakfast, brunch, appetizers, or an easy snack. They are especially convenient for gatherings because they can be made in bite-sized portions and served warm or at room temperature.

Serve them on their own for a simple snack, or pair them with eggs for an easy and satisfying breakfast or brunch. You can use breakfast sausage, Italian sausage, or another favorite sausage to change up the flavor.

Quick and easy. Serve them with a side of eggs and you have a full meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. Ground sausage breakfast, Italian or other
  • 1 cup shredded cheese of choice
  • 8 oz. Cream cheese softened
  • 2 crescent rolls, cans refrigerated
  • Pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  • Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles. Cut each triangle in half lengthwise to create smaller pieces.
  • Cook the 1 pound ground sausage in a skillet over medium heat until completely browned and cooked through. Drain any excess grease and allow the sausage to cool slightly.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the cooled sausage, 8 ounces softened cream cheese, 1 cup shredded cheese, and pepper to taste. Mix until well combined.
  • Place a small amount of the sausage mixture near the wide end of each crescent dough piece.
  • Starting at the wide end, roll the dough around the filling toward the narrow end, forming a small stuffed crescent roll. Place seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Bake for about 15 minutes, or until the crescent rolls are golden brown and cooked through.
  • Allow the rolls to cool for a few minutes before serving.
