In a large pot or Dutch oven, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the tomato paste, spices, and salt. cook for 1 - 2 minutes, stirring frequently until fragrant.
1 tablespoon butter, 1 tablespoon tomato paste, ½ teaspoon garlic powder, ½ teaspoon onion powder, ¼ teaspoon paprika, to taste salt, to taste pepper, 1 tablespoon honey or sugar
Add liquid and pasta:
Pour in the tomato sauce and water/broth. Bring the mixture to simmer, then stir in the dry, uncooked pasta.
8 oz tomato sauce, 1 cup water
Simmer:
Reduce the heat to low, cover, and let simmer for 15-20 minutes, or until the pasta is tender. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.
Finish:
Stir in the ¼ cup Cream /milk and the ½ cheddar cheese until melted and smooth.
Tip:
Adding precooked mini meatballs or sliced hot dogs will create a more filling meal.
