Easy No Yeast Dinner Rolls are quick homemade rolls made without yeast or rising time. These tender, simple dinner rolls are ready in about 35 minutes and are perfect with soups, stews, casseroles, or any family meal.
Preheat the oven to 350°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the melted butter or canola oil, ½ cup milk plus an additional 3 tablespoons milk, sugar, salt, and baking powder.
Gradually add the flour, stirring as you go, until a soft dough forms. You may not need all of the flour. Add only enough to bring the dough together without making it overly dry or stiff.
Divide the dough into 7 equal pieces and roll each piece into a ball.
Place the rolls on the prepared baking sheet, leaving about 2 inches between each roll.
If desired, brush the tops with egg wash before baking. You can also leave them plain and brush them with melted butter after baking.
Bake for about 25 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown.
If desired, brush the warm rolls with melted butter before serving.
Notes
You can use any milk or milk substitute (like almond or soy).
To make a sweet variation, you can increase the sugar and decrease the salt.
